The proceedings in the Bihar Legislative Assembly continued on the second day of the Budget Session, with heated exchanges during the post-Question Hour period.
Patna: Left MLAs staged a dramatic protest in the Bihar Assembly on February 28, using handcuffs as a symbol of their dissent against the Centre’s foreign policies. Members from the CPI-ML, CPI, and CPM expressed their outrage over the perceived mistreatment of Indian expatriates in the United States. CPI-ML’s Mahboob Alam criticized the Union government.
At present the BJP has 78 MLAs, the JD-U has 45, HAM four MLAs and there is one Independent, totaling 128 MLAs in the NDA Government while the majority required in Bihar Assembly is 122.
