Voting is underway today (Thursday) from 7 am in 1276 panchayats of Himachal Pradesh. By 11 am, 44 percent voting was recorded in Shimla district, while 43.63 percent in Hamirpur, 42.89 percent in Mandi, 43 percent in Kullu, and 41.50 percent in Kangra have exercised their voting rights.
It will be introduced in the budget session of the Legislative Assembly. Being caught with drugs or having an FIR registered for drug trafficking will be the basis for disqualification.
