New Delhi: Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Tuesday announced financial assistance to states including Bihar, Himachal Pradesh, Assam, Uttarakhand and Sikkim which have suffered losses due to floods and other natural calamities. She said that Bihar, which frequently suffers from floods, will get some relief as plans to build flood control structures in Nepal.
She said even though Congress has lost all four Lok Sabha seats in the state, it has won four out of six seats in the assembly by-elections which means people trust the state government and stand strong with it
