Ludhiana: A complete shutdown is being observed in Ludhiana on Wednesday in protest against the alleged insult to a statue of Constitution-maker Dr BR Ambedkar at Jalandhar Bypass Chowk. On September 5, an unidentified person allegedly placed an objectionable item on the statue. After protests continued for three days, police registered an FIR late Tuesday.
