Under the Punjab Government's decisive war against drugs, namely “Yudh Nashian Virudh”, launched on the directions of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann to eradicate the drug menace from the state, the campaign has completed 103 days today.

The villagers said that both the youths were riding a bike and both were coming from Goraya towards Sang Dhesian. Both the youths died due to head injuries but the bike did not suffer much damage.

The focus of the hearing will be on granting interim relief to the petitioners, with arguments from all sides scheduled to be presented before the Court rules on the stay.

The Punjab Vigilance Bureau (VB), in line with the zero tolerance policy against corruption adopted by the Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann led Punjab government, has apprehended Sukhdev Vashisht, an Assistant Town Planner (ATP), Municipal Corporation, Jalandhar for demanding a bribe of Rs. 30,000.

. The police have taken his body into custody and sent it to the Civil Hospital in Jalandhar for a postmortem.

Authorities in Jalandhar have confirmed that the situation in the district remains completely normal, following concerns circulating on social media and elsewhere.
