After the elections held in the eight municipal corporations of Punjab, the election for the mayor's post is to be held tomorrow. In five of these municipal corporations — Barnala, Bathinda, Batala, Moga, and Mohali — the Aam Aadmi Party has gained a clear majority, while in Abohar, BJP, and in Kapurthala, Congress has secured a full majority.
