Bathinda recorded a maximum temperature of 43.9 degrees Celsius, which was the highest in Punjab.

The heat wave is continuously increasing in Punjab. According to the Meteorological Department, Chandigarh, the average maximum temperature in the state has increased by 0.1 degree Celsius today, but this temperature is 3.4 degree Celsius more than normal.

The Meteorological Department has issued no alert for today. But after 24 hours, the effect of the heat wave will also be seen from tomorrow.

The maximum temperature of all the districts of Punjab is now between 35 degrees and 40 degrees.

An increase of 2 to 3 degrees in temperature can be seen in 48 hours.

The Meteorological Department has issued an alert regarding rain and storm in Punjab. According to this, there is a possibility of lightning and strong winds blowing at a speed of 40-50 km/hour in Sangrur, Patiala, Fatehgarh Sahib and Ludhiana districts today.

The average maximum temperature of the state remains 2.8 degrees above normal.
