According to the information shared by the Meteorological Department, the temperature of Pathankot in Punjab was recorded at 3 degrees, while the temperature of Chandigarh rose to around 7 degrees.

Chandigarh: In Punjab, the minimum temperature recorded on Saturday fell by another 0.3 degrees, with Faridkot being the coldest at 1°C. Amritsar, Patiala, and Bathinda also registered temperatures below normal. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for a cold wave on Sunday. The maximum temperature in Punjab rose by 0.4 degrees, remaining close.

There is no rain alert yet. In such a situation, the weather will remain dry.

The weather is expected to remain dry in Punjab-Chandigarh.

Due to the heavy rain in Jalandhar in the morning around 4:30 am, the maximum temperature of the metropolis has also dropped.

However, the weather department had predicted that the weather would remain normal for the next two days.

Intense heat has commenced in Punjab. Hot winds prevailed in many districts on Tuesday and the maximum temperature reached over 42 degrees Celsius. Faridkot and Pathankot were the hottest. The maximum temperature here was recorded as 42.1 and 42 degrees Celsius respectively.

Summer has started showing its fury in Punjab. At present, increase in maximum temperature continues in Punjab.
