The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the West Bengal Police on Thursday arrested Sumit Roy, personal assistant to Trinamool Congress General Secretary and Diamond Harbour MP Abhishek Banerjee, in connection with an alleged multi-crore land-grabbing case in Salboni, West Midnapore district, officials said.
A district court in West Midnapore district of West Bengal, on Monday, issued an arrest warrant against Sumit Roy, the executive assistant of Trinamool Congress’ general secretary and the party’s Lok Sabha member, Abhishek Banerjee.
