Posters Against CM Mann Emerge at Talwandi Sabo Gurdwara Amid Video Controversy

After the alleged video controversy involving Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, there has now been a stir in religious and political circles. Posters and boards with the orders of Sri Akal Takht Sahib are being put up at various prominent places including the main road of Takht Sri Damdama Sahib by the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) and the Sikh Sangat in Talwandi Sabo.

Shiromani Akali Dal activists and the local Sangat have come together to set up these boards with the aim of protecting religious decorum. Following the written and verbal consent of the managers of the historic Gurdwara Mastana Sahib, the Akali Dal leaders have put up similar large boards and posters on Mastana Sahib Road as well. This development has been a topic of discussion in the area.

‘Chief Minister should appear before the Akal Takht and apologise’:

Regarding this whole matter, Shiromani Akali Dal, Talwandi Sabo’s light in-charge Ravi Preet Singh Sidhu has issued a sharp statement. He said that the Punjab government and Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann will have to bow down before the supremacy of Sri Akal Takht Sahib. He demanded that the chief minister should go beyond formalities and admit his mistake and personally appear before Sri Akal Takht Sahib and apologise to the Sikh community.

Sidhu made serious allegations against the Chief Minister and said that the truth of the “fake report” prepared by the Punjab government to suppress the video case has now come out completely in front of the public and the Sangat. He alleged that the Aam Aadmi Party government was continuously making “cunning tricks” to prove the highest religious institution like Sri Akal Takht Sahib wrong, which the Sikh world will never tolerate.
