Tehri Tragedy: Pickup Falls Into Gorge, Driver Killed

In Tehri, a pickup truck fell into a 100-meter-deep gorge early in the morning, resulting in the death of the driver, while another person was injured. The accident occurred near Ghuttu on the Ghuttu-Ghansali road in the Ghansali area. There were two people in the vehicle, including the driver, along with a mule rider.

As soon as the news of the accident arrived, teams from SDRF and the local police reached the spot immediately. SDRF personnel conducted a rescue operation under difficult conditions and safely removed the injured person from the gorge.

The injured person was admitted to a nearby hospital after receiving first aid. The police have taken possession of the deceased’s body and sent it for a post-mortem examination. The police administration has begun investigating the causes of the accident. Preliminary investigations suggest that the vehicle losing control is being considered the reason for the incident. The local administration has appealed to drivers to exercise caution on hilly roads.
