Theft at Ludhiana’s Ayushman Arogya Kendra; wires, pipes of AC stolen

A theft has been reported at the Ayushman Arogya Kendra located in Kakowal village, Ludhiana. Unidentified thieves cut and stole the wiring and pipes of three air conditioners (ACs) installed at the clinic. The police have registered a case against an unknown accused and have initiated an investigation.

In the complaint lodged with the police, Dr. Preetpal Singh, son of Daljit Singh and a resident of House No. 3976, Street No. 9, New Madhopuri, Ludhiana, stated that he is posted as a Medical Officer at the Ayushman Arogya Kendra in Kakowal village. Three ACs were installed in the clinic’s rooms.

Wiring and pipes of three ACs stolen

On June 15, 2026, he had closed the clinic and gone home as usual. The next morning, June 16, when he arrived to open the clinic around 8:00 AM, he discovered that an unidentified person had cut and stolen the wiring and pipes of all three ACs.

Police examining CCTV footage

The police were immediately informed of the incident. Based on the complaint, the Jodhewal police have registered a case against unknown accused under Section 303(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). The police are examining footage from nearby CCTV cameras and are attempting to identify the culprits.

Similar incidents reported previously

It is worth noting that this is not the first incident involving the theft of AC pipes. Several such cases have been reported in various areas—including Jodhewal, Daresi, and the Division No. 4 police station jurisdiction—where AC pipes have been stolen from outside the shops and establishments of business owners.
