Mumbai: A new revelation has emerged in the case of the firing on Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff’s car. Initial interrogation of the arrested accused reportedly revealed that Tiger Shroff was not their original target. The attackers had initially planned to target another prominent Bollywood personality.

According to Mumbai Police sources, the accused had come to Mumbai with the intention of targeting another celebrity. However, after having difficulty reaching their original target, they allegedly decided to target Tiger Shroff.

According to sources familiar with the investigation, the accused learned about the actor’s security arrangements from Instagram reels uploaded by his fans. These videos reportedly showed that the 36-year-old actor usually lacked police protection. This is why the attackers considered him a relatively easy target.

Tracked through Instagram posts and fan reels

According to sources, during initial interrogation, the accused reportedly stated that they wanted to kill the actor to spread fear in the Bollywood industry.

According to investigators, the accused used Tiger Shroff’s Instagram account, as well as posts and videos shared by fans, to monitor his activities.

The shooting occurred during rush hour on Sunday evening, and a video of the incident has surfaced. Tiger Shroff, son of veteran actor Jackie Shroff, narrowly escaped the attack. However, his car driver and a passerby were injured.

According to Mumbai Police, the attackers fired five to six rounds at the actor’s car. A motorcycle allegedly used in the incident was later recovered abandoned in the Andheri area.

Accused chased from Surat to Kota, three arrested

According to police, after the incident, the accused fled to Surat, Gujarat. From there, they boarded a train to Jaipur. Their alleged plan was to reach New Delhi by bus and then flee to Nepal.

However, Mumbai Police arrested three accused in the case from Kota, Rajasthan.

Two of the arrested accused have been identified as Hrithik alias Roshan, a resident of Begusarai, Bihar, and Rehan, a resident of Sonipat, Haryana.

Police have registered a case under relevant sections of attempt to murder and the Arms Act. Investigators are also investigating the possibility of the accused having links to an organized criminal network.

Investigation into alleged links with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang

According to police, Rehan was allegedly in contact with Anil Pandit, a known associate of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. An unverified post on social media claimed responsibility for the attack.

Meanwhile, an audio clip featuring Anil Pandit, a 32-year-old alleged gangster from Panipat who lives in the US, has also circulated widely on media platforms.

The alleged recording claims that Tiger Shroff was targeted because he ignored warnings not to work with Bollywood superstar Salman Khan.

However, the authenticity of the audio clip has not been independently confirmed. Police are interrogating the arrested suspects to determine the motive behind the attack, the original targets, and the entire conspiracy. The investigation is ongoing.
