Two motorcycles collide in Amritsar: One woman killed, two injured after being hit by trolley

A tragic road accident occurred on the Kathu Nangal Road, under the jurisdiction of the Majitha police station in Amritsar district. According to reports, the accident occurred due to a sudden, violent collision between two motorcycles. It is reported that the two motorcycle riders were trying to cross each other when they lost control and collided.

A trolley loaded with sand was passing on the road at the same time. As a result of the collision, a woman riding pillion fell onto the road and was tragically crushed under the trolley’s rear tire. She died tragically on the spot.

The deceased was a resident of Gurdaspur district.

The deceased has been identified as Rajwinder Kaur, a resident of village Malia Pakkian, Gurdaspur district. According to locals, the force of the accident was so severe that even those present at the scene were frightened. Police were immediately informed, after which the Kathu Nangal police station arrived at the scene and began investigating the incident.

The police have taken the body of the deceased into their custody and sent it to the mortuary for a postmortem examination. The injured men on both motorcycles have been admitted to a hospital in Amritsar, where they are undergoing treatment.

The police say that preliminary investigations indicate that the accident occurred due to speeding and improper overtaking. However, a detailed investigation is underway, including the trolley driver and the two motorcycles.

This tragic accident has created an atmosphere of mourning in the area. The police are appealing to the public to control speed and exercise caution while driving on the road to avoid such accidents.
