Truck Falls into Gorge in Uttarakhand, Driver Killed

Uttarakhnad, April 12: Early this morning in Tehri, a pickup truck plunged into a 100-meter-deep gorge, resulting in the death of the driver. Another individual sustained injuries in the incident. The accident occurred near Ghuttu, along the Ghuttu-Ghansali road in the Ghansali region. The vehicle was carrying two people including the driver and a mule.

Upon receiving information about the accident, teams from the SDRF and the local police immediately rushed to the scene. Conducting a rescue operation under challenging conditions, SDRF personnel successfully extracted the injured individual from the gorge.

After receiving preliminary treatment, the injured person has been admitted to a nearby hospital. The police have taken custody of the deceased’s body and sent it for a post-mortem examination.

Upon receiving the information, teams from the Police and the SDRF immediately rushed to the scene and launched a rescue operation amidst challenging terrain conditions. The driver of the pickup, Bobby (28) son of Jagbir Lal and a resident of Khalasi Patti, Paligarh died on the spot in the accident. Patti Bhilang who was a passenger in the pickup, sustained critical injuries. He was extricated from the gorge and immediately admitted to a nearby hospital.
