Uttarkashi Among 5 Districts on Rain Alert, Snow Expected

There is a possibility of rain today in 5 districts of Uttarakhand. These include Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Chamoli, Bageshwar, and Pithoragarh. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a chance of light rain and thunder in some areas of these districts. Meanwhile, snowfall may also be seen in regions at an altitude of 3800 meters or higher.

However, the weather will remain dry in other districts of the state, which is expected to bring relief to people in the plains. Earlier, on Thursday, it rained in the afternoon in 7 districts. These include Rudraprayag, Uttarkashi, Pithoragarh, Nainital, Almora, Champawat, and Chamoli.

There was heavy rain in Kedargati of Rudraprayag, while there was light rain with sunshine in Dharchula of Pithoragarh. There was drizzle in Nainital city and light rain in the urban area of Almora.

Clouds will persist in Dehradun

The weather in Dehradun is expected to remain normal. According to the Meteorological Department, the sky in the city may remain mainly clear to partially cloudy. In terms of temperature, the maximum temperature is likely to be around 31 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature around 14 degrees Celsius. This may cause mild heat during the day and coolness in the morning and evening.

Weather forecast for next three days

April 11 – In Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Chamoli, Bageshwar, and Pithoragarh, isolated very light to light rain or thundershowers are likely, along with the possibility of snowfall in areas at 3800 meters or higher.

April 12 – In Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Chamoli, Bageshwar, and Pithoragarh, some places may experience light rain with thundershowers. Additionally, there is a continued possibility of snowfall in areas at 3800 meters or higher. On the other hand, weather in the rest of the districts of the state is expected to remain generally dry.

April 13 – In Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Chamoli, Bageshwar, and Pithoragarh districts, isolated very light to light rain with thundershowers is likely. Moreover, snowfall may occur in areas at 3800 meters or higher, which could increase cold conditions in the mountains.

Meanwhile, in other districts of the state, the weather will remain dry, leading to generally normal weather expected in the plains.
