There is a possibility of rain in 7 districts of Uttarakhand today. According to the Meteorological Department, showers may occur in Dehradun, Tehri, Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Chamoli, Bageshwar, and Pithoragarh. In addition, snowfall is likely in areas with an altitude of 4000 meters and above, which is expected to cause a drop in temperature.

The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for five districts of the state, advising caution. According to the department’s forecast, there is a possibility of thunder accompanied by lightning and heavy showers at places in Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Chamoli, Bageshwar, and Pithoragarh districts.

Along with this, there are chances of gusty winds blowing at a speed of 40 to 50 kilometers per hour in these areas. The administration has instructed passengers and local people going to high-altitude areas to remain alert.

In Dehradun, the sky is expected to remain mainly clear to partially cloudy today. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of thunderclouds developing in some areas of the city, which may result in light drizzles.
