Uttarakhand Weather Update: Rain and Snowfall in High-Altitude Districts Today

Dehradun: Rain and snowfall are expected in five districts of Uttarakhand today, February 27th. These include Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Chamoli, Bageshwar, and Pithoragarh. According to the Meteorological Department, snowfall is possible in areas with altitudes of 3,000 meters or higher.

In addition, the weather will remain completely dry in all districts of the state, with sunny skies in the plains and low-altitude areas. However, the weather may change in Dehradun, Nainital, Almora, Tehri, Pauri, and Champawat in the afternoon, with clouds expected.

According to the department, the weather is going to remain the same tomorrow also.

Dehradun will remain cloudy

Dehradun will see mostly clear to partly cloudy skies. Thunderstorms are possible in some areas. The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to be around 28°C and 14°C, respectively.

How was the day before?

The weather remained dry and clear across the state. According to the Meteorological Center, Dehradun, no rain or snowfall was recorded in any of the state’s 13 districts. The plains remained brightly sunny throughout the day, causing a slight increase in maximum temperatures.

Very light rain/snowfall is likely at isolated places (in areas with an altitude of 3000 metres and above) in Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Chamoli, Bageshwar and Pithoragarh districts.

The weather will remain dry on Sunday. Due to clear skies, daytime temperatures may rise by another 1 degree. The minimum temperature will be around 10°C to 11°C.

March 02, 2026

There is no chance of rain on Monday either. According to the Meteorological Department, the weather will remain dry throughout the state, including Dehradun. Sunshine may make the day feel mildly warm, while nights will remain slightly cooler.
