Woman who visited Kainchi Dham dies in Rudrapur hotel, investigation underway

Dehradun: A woman who had come from Delhi to visit Kainchi Dham on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti died under suspicious circumstances. The woman had come with her partner. Her body was found in a five-star hotel in Rudrapur, Udham Singh Nagar.

Deteriorated in hotel, died in hospital
It is being reported that the woman’s health suddenly deteriorated at the hotel. She was then taken to the district hospital via 108 ambulance, where doctors declared her dead. Upon receiving the information, police arrived at the scene and took possession of the body and sent it for a post-mortem.

Interrogation of partner and hotel staff
According to SSP Ajay Ganpati, the case is being investigated from every angle. The woman’s partner who accompanied her is being questioned, and information is also being gathered from the hotel staff. Initial investigations are considering the case suspicious.

Woman had come from Delhi, full story revealed
According to the police, Jyoti Sharma, a resident of Mehar Chand Market, Delhi, arrived in Rudrapur early Wednesday morning with her business partner, Amit (a resident of Jaunpur, South Delhi). They had informed the hotel that they were going to visit Kainchi Dham.

At around 1:30 p.m., Amit informed the hotel reception that Jyoti had fallen ill. She was subsequently taken to the hospital, where she died.

Forensic investigation underway, family informed
Upon receiving information about the incident, police inspected the hotel and hospital. The forensic team collected fingerprints and other evidence from the hotel room. The body has been sent for a postmortem. The deceased’s sister has left for Rudrapur from Delhi. Police are investigating the matter further.
