12-year-old girl brutally murdered in Godda, Jharkhand; headless body found in field

Ranchi: A heartbreaking incident has unfolded in Godda district, Jharkhand. A 12-year-old girl was brutally murdered by slitting her throat and beheading her. The girl’s decapitated body was found in a field in Dahua village on Thursday morning. According to police, the girl’s head has not yet been recovered.

This incident occurred in the Lalmatia police station area. As news of the girl’s body being found in the field spread on Thursday morning, panic gripped the village. A large number of villagers gathered at the scene. Upon receiving information, police arrived and recovered the girl’s torso.

Girl went missing from home at night

According to villagers, the incident occurred late Wednesday night. The girl was sleeping with her parents at home as usual. When the family woke up in the morning, she was missing from her bed.

The family began searching for her. Meanwhile, they received information that the girl’s body was lying in a field in the village. The family is perplexed as to when and under what circumstances the girl left the house at midnight or whether someone took her away.

Police Collect Evidence from the Scene

Given the gravity of the incident, a team from Lalmatia police immediately arrived at the scene. Police have cordoned off the scene and begun collecting forensic evidence. Efforts are also underway to recover the girl’s head.
