    Dehradun: Major infrastructure projects in Uttarakhand have progressed rapidly under the leadership of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. Projects like the Jamrani Dam, the Rishikesh-Karnprayag rail line, and the Delhi-Dehradun elevated road are giving new impetus to the state’s connectivity.

    The launch of helicopter services in the mountainous regions under the UDAN scheme has made access to remote areas easier.

    Health, Industry, and Rural Development

    Construction of an AIIMS satellite center in Kichha, Udham Singh Nagar, is underway, providing better healthcare facilities to the Kumaon region. Projects like the Smart Industrial Township at Khurpiya Farm and the Tanakpur-Bageshwar rail line are accelerating development.

    Under the Vibrant Village Program, 200 development projects are underway in border villages at a cost of ₹270 crore, while the establishment of Sanskrit villages also emphasizes cultural preservation.

    Confluence of Education and Culture

    Uttarakhand has become a leading state in implementing the National Education Policy 2020. Steps such as the establishment of the Center for Hindu Studies at Doon University and the inclusion of the Bhagavad Gita in school curriculums integrate cultural values ​​with modern education.

    Achievements in Tourism, Energy, and Sports

    Tourism in the state has set new records. In 2025, approximately 4.8 million pilgrims participated in the Chardham Yatra and over 4.15 crore pilgrims participated in the Kanwar Yatra.

    In the energy sector, solar capacity has reached over 1 gigawatt, and over 42,000 solar rooftops have been installed. In sports, the state set a new record by hosting the National Games for the first time, winning 103 medals.

    National Recognition

    Uttarakhand ranked first among small states in NITI Aayog’s Export Preparedness Index 2024 and also topped the SDG Index 2023-24.

    The state’s achievements include the Achievers category in Ease of Doing Business, the Aviation Ecosystem Promotion Award in Wings India 2026, and second place in mining reforms.
