Young man shot in Kapurthala’s Shekhupur: Accident happened with his own licensed revolver

Kapurthala: A young man was shot in Kapurthala. The injured youth has been identified as Sanjeev Kumar alias Sonu. The incident took place in Shekhupur. A young man has been injured by his own licensed revolver.

The incident took place late Thursday night, when Sanjeev Kumar was returning home from a program.

While entering the house, a bullet suddenly fired from his licensed revolver. The bullet passed through his left leg. The family immediately took the injured Sanjeev to Civil Hospital Kapurthala. Duty doctor Ashish Pal Singh provided first aid in the emergency ward.

Seeing his critical condition, he was referred to Amritsar Medical College. SHO of City Thana Amandeep Kumar said that the matter is being investigated. ASI Satnam Singh of City Thana said that they will record the statement of the injured youth and take further action.
