The scorching sun and hot winds are troubling people in Varanasi. There is silence on the banks of the Ganga. According to the Meteorological Department, there will be intense heat for a week. Today, i.e. Tuesday, there is a heatwave alert in 16 districts.
On Monday, Prayagraj was the hottest district in UP with 44.3 degrees. The maximum temperature was recorded above 40 degrees in more than 16 districts of the state. Kanpur recorded a temperature of 44 degrees Celsius.
There is silence on the roads in Hapur due to the scorching sun and heat. At present, the mercury has reached 39 degrees. The weather is expected to remain like this for a few days.
Carpets have been laid in Kashi Vishwanath Dham to prevent devotees from burning their feet on the stones. The temple administration is providing cold water. German hangers have been installed for shade. Cloth curtains have been stretched 8 feet above the streets to provide shade.
People are troubled by the scorching heat in Ayodhya. The maximum temperature reached 41.2 degrees at one o’clock. The weather department has predicted further rise in temperature. The power system collapsed due to the increase in heat. People got troubled by power cuts during the day.
