Amritsar Police bust cross border illegal arms module; four arrested with pistols, heroin

In a major breakthrough, Amritsar Commissionerate Police busted a cross-border illegal arms and narcotics smuggling module. The police apprehended four accused and recovered five sophisticated pistols, 2.015 Kg heroin, and ₹5 lakh in drug money. Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadava shared this information through a post on X.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the accused were involved in cross-border smuggling of illegal weapons and narcotics.

Further investigation is underway to establish the forward and backward linkages of the network and identify all associates involved in the cartel.

DGP Yadav assured that Punjab Police remains committed to dismantling cross-border smuggling networks and ensuring a safe, secure, and drug-free Punjab.
