Punjab Police Arrest Fugitive Bhuvnesh Chopra in Ferozepur Triple Murder, Drug Trafficking Cases

Chandigarh: The Punjab Police, with support from central agencies, has arrested fugitive Bhuvnesh Chopra alias Ashish, a key accused in the sensational Ferozepur triple murder case and multiple narcotics trafficking cases. The arrest was made after Chopra was deported from a Central Asian country.

According to officials, Chopra had been evading arrest for a long time and was allegedly involved in drug trafficking networks operating across borders. His return to India and subsequent arrest marks a significant breakthrough for law enforcement agencies.

The police said Chopra’s arrest has dealt a major blow to Pakistan-backed drug smuggling networks and foreign-based handlers who have been orchestrating criminal activities in Punjab.

Authorities added that further investigations are underway to identify other members of the network and dismantle the cross-border narcotics trafficking operations linked to the case.
