DCP Investigation Harpreet Singh Mander informed that Harpreet Singh, who lives in Guru Ramdas Nagar, had given an advertisement on OLX to sell an iPhone. On July 8, he got a call and at 5.30 pm he went to show the mobile phone behind the Government School Saragarhi located in Mall Mandi.

Two accused youths were standing near the park in Guru Teg Bahadur Nagar. Meanwhile, two other youths came on a motorcycle and took out a pistol and shot him on his knee. After this, the accused fled with two iPhones and a laptop from him.

Police arrested four accused after investigation

After investigation, police arrested four accused Rajpal Singh alias Raja, Robin Singh, Sumit Sharma and Lucky. A pistol was also recovered from the accused. Several cases are already registered against the arrested accused Sumit and Robin.

Two accused of Sukha gang also arrested

Meanwhile, in another case, police arrested two members of Sukha gang, Govind, resident of Nalagarh, Himachal Pradesh and Sanjeev Kumar, resident of Kot Khalsa. While Govind works at a sweet shop, Sanjeev does a private job. Police recovered 1 illegal pistol, 2 magazines and 1 live cartridge from both of them.

Both the arrested accused are members of Sukha gang, who have been carrying out crimes in Amritsar and surrounding areas. Police is now trying to find the link of the weapons recovered from them.
