The Supreme Court on Monday took a strong exception to the High-Powered Committee (HPC) seeking time till February next year to complete its exercise on the definition and protection of the Aravalli Hills and Ranges, and directed it to submit its final report by November 30.
New Delhi: The Supreme Court has taken suo motu cognisance of concerns surrounding the definition of the Aravalli hills and ranges. According to the causelist published on the apex court’s website, a bench comprising Chief Justice of India Surya Kant, Justice J K Maheshwari and Justice A G Masih will hear the suo motu writ.
