Hoshiarpur: In a recent crackdown on illegal mining, the police and mining department in Hoshiarpur responded to information received during the night about unauthorized mining activities in the village of Saheri. Acting on this tip-off, the Mehatiyana police, along with mining officials, arrived at the scene and seized a JCB (excavator) and a tractor involved.
