Punjab Congress has announced a September 8 protest in Chandigarh over pending DA arrears and implementation of the Old Pension Scheme, with party leaders also holding a Patiala press conference today.
In protest against the rejection of the Women's Reservation Bill, female workers of the Punjab BJP staged a demonstration in Chandigarh. The workers were marching towards the residence of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, but the Chandigarh police had already set up barricades to stop them on the way.
