In a Kisan Mahapanchayat held in Fatehgarh Sahib, Jagjit Singh Dallewal (State President of Bharatiya Kisan Union) made serious allegations against the central government. Dallewal accused the government of inviting farmers for dialogue while simultaneously using force to suppress their protests during the night.
