Ranchi: The ongoing student agitation in Ranchi against alleged irregularities in recruitment examinations continued for the 20th consecutive day on Wednesday, with no breakthrough in talks between the protesters and the government. Despite an Assembly gherao, police action, and several rounds of negotiations, the deadlock remains unresolved. The protesters have placed two principal demands before.
Jharkhand JPSC-JSSC aspirants said the government seriously considered their demands during the second round of talks but maintained that their agitation will continue until concrete action is taken.
Minister Sudivya Kumar Sonu stated that they would meet with various student groups and stakeholders, and a decision would be taken after considering all suggestions.
