New Delhi: In a first for the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO), interest on Provident Fund (PF) deposits has been credited to around 34 crore member accounts by July 15, making it the earliest completion of the annual interest credit exercise. The organisation has credited 8.25% interest for the financial year 2025-26, well before the traditional September-November timeline.

New Delhi: The Supreme  Court on Thursday expressed concern over introducing a compulsory third language for students at the Class 9 level, saying it would place an unnecessary academic burden on children already preparing for board examinations. The  court suggested that any additional language should instead be introduced from Class 6.
