Jaipur: The Rajasthan State Election Commission has ordered re-polling at select polling stations in Jaipur, Jodhpur, Kota and Suket following technical malfunctions in electronic voting machines (EVMs) during the concluded urban body polls in the state. According to the Commission on Monday, re-polling will be held at Jaipur Municipal Corporation in Ward number 9, Booth.
In a major shake-up, Congress has managed to retain control of Jhalawar, the stronghold of former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, as results for Rajasthan's 47 Municipal Councils and 252 Municipalities have started coming in.
Counting is underway for Rajasthan's 309 urban local bodies, with early BJP and Congress victories emerging as the State Election Commission updates results.
