The Supreme Court deferred suspended Punjab DIG Harcharan Singh Bhullar’s second bail plea for four weeks, with CJI Surya Kant remarking it was a “100% case of dismissal”.
The ED is arriving at the CBI office in Chandigarh on Tuesday, where it will take records of DIG Bhullar, along with IAS and IPS officers, who have acquired benami properties.

Former Punjab DIG Harcharan Bhullar, who was caught accepting a bribe of 5 lakh rupees, has been re-arrested by the CBI for five days. Bhullar, along with middleman Krishanu, were produced in the Chandigarh CBI court on Thursday. The court remanded Krishanu to 14 days’ judicial custody. During the hearing, Bhullar’s lawyer filed a petition.
