Punjab Police's Counter Intelligence Wing recovered 30 kg of heroin worth ₹200 crore, arrested two accused and launched a probe into an international cross-border drug trafficking network.
In a joint operation, the BSF and Punjab Police recovered 10.9 kg of heroin worth an estimated ₹55 crore from fields in Tarn Taran. The narcotics were allegedly dropped into Indian territory by a drone from across the Pakistan border.
New Delhi: In a major crackdown on narcotics trafficking, East District Police in Delhi have arrested a drug peddler and her alleged supplier, recovering 106.68 grams of suspected heroin/smack and Rs 101,732 in cash believed to be proceeds from drug sales. According to a press release issued by East District Police, the operation was conducted.
Amritsar police have made a breakthrough in two separate cases, taking action against an international drug trafficking network. Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav shared information on X Handle, saying that the commissionerate police have made several key arrests as part of the ongoing drive against drug trafficking and have seized a large quantity of heroin.
In a major blow to narcotics trafficking, the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI), Ludhiana Zonal Unit, seized nearly 10 kg of heroin valued at around Rs 19.90 crore in the illicit market after a high-speed chase on the outskirts of Ludhiana.
