The Meteorological Center, Chandigarh, has issued a yellow alert for heavy rain today and July 9, describing the next 48 hours as crucial.

Due to the strong flow of Beas river in Mukerian, a crack has appeared in Dhanova bridge, which connects Mukerian to Gurdaspur.

There is no hope of relief from rain in Himachal Pradesh for the next 5 days. Heavy rain is forecast in 3 districts of the state today (Tuesday).

The average maximum temperature of the state has dropped by 0.4 degrees Celsius, which is 2.1 degrees below normal.

At the same time, the temperature of the state has dropped by 2.9 degrees in the last 24 hours, which is 6.8 degrees below normal.
