Delhi is experiencing unusually warm weather today as temperatures rise sharply across the national capital. According to weather data and forecasts from the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the city is witnessing above-normal temperatures for early March, signalling the early arrival of summer-like conditions. Punjab is witnessing summer-like conditions with temperatures up to 7.5°C above normal. Patiala recorded the highest temperature at 33.2°C as dry weather is expected until March 12.
A Western Disturbance will affect Himachal Pradesh from March 7–11, bringing rain and snowfall after record-high March temperatures in Shimla, Manali, Kalpa, and Kangra.
Punjab and Chandigarh are experiencing an early rise in temperatures, crossing 33°C in some areas. The Meteorological Department predicts dry weather and strong winds, with no rainfall expected until March 12.
Similarly, temperatures continued to rise on Tuesday. Jhansi was the hottest district in the state, recording a maximum temperature of 34.8 degrees Celsius.
Haryana is witnessing rising heat in early March with temperatures nearing 35°C in several districts. The Meteorological Department says the weather will remain dry for the next few days.
Himachal Pradesh may witness light snowfall in higher reaches of Lahaul-Spiti, Kinnaur, Chamba and Kullu on March 7–8, while temperatures across the state remain 4–8 degrees above normal, says IMD.
