The heat during the day has started increasing in Punjab and Chandigarh. On Wednesday, i.e., 15th April, the weather will remain dry, but from the 16th, there is a possibility of rain and storm for four consecutive days.

The temperature has started rising in Punjab and Chandigarh due to strong sunlight during the day. The maximum temperature has increased by 0.4 degrees in a single day.

Due to the western disturbance reaching the hill states, there was rain last night in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir, along with Pathankot and some surrounding areas

After the recent rains in Punjab and Chandigarh, the temperature has started rising again. However, the cold is still felt in the mornings and evenings. Today (April 11) the weather will remain dry. But during the day, cold winds will blow from the mountains. In such a situation, a rapid increase in temperature is expected.

During this period, the average rainfall stood at 25.6 mm, whereas the normal figure for this time of year is typically 4.1 mm.

According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of light to moderate rainfall at isolated places across 22 districts today

The weather is expected to remain clear starting April 9 and continuing for the following week.

Amidst these developments, the state's average maximum temperature has risen by 1.3 degrees Celsius. 

The Chandigarh center of the India Meteorological Department has issued a weather warning for many districts of Punjab.
